1914 Noritake plate In 1878, not long after Japan first opened its doors to the rest of the world, Baron Ichizaemon Morimura established an import goods shop in New York. Very soon, his company began making ceramics in Japan.

Today’s Noritake is a global enterprise, one of the giants of the tableware industry.
